On a bright, cheerful morning, the park buzzed with life as families gathered, children laughing with pure joy. Birds chirped merrily in the trees, while a tiny yellow chick hopped around the grass, chasing a delicate blue butterfly that fluttered by. Across the street, a family arrived at the big shopping mall. The mother juggled shopping bags, her arms full, while the father pushed a stroller where a small baby giggled softly, unaware of the bustling world around them. As the mother rummaged through her bag and the father answered a ringing phone, the stroller gently slipped from his hand. It rolled slowly toward the escalator, the baby still smiling, completely unaware of the danger lurking ahead. From the park, the little yellow chick sensed trouble as it spotted the stroller moving alone. With determination, the chick dashed through the crowd, weaving between legs and leaping over curbs. Just in time, it leapt in front of the stroller, using its tiny beak and body to bring it to a halt right at the edge of the escalator, avoiding disaster. The parents rushed over, their eyes wide with fear transformed into relief. The father firmly grasped the stroller, while the mother hugged the baby tightly. They looked down in awe at the brave little chick, sitting proudly as it caught its breath. A small crowd gathered, some clapping in appreciation of the brave act. One child extended a hand, sharing a crumb of bread, which the chick eagerly nibbled. With a joyful flap of its wings, it seemed to declare, “All is safe now!” As the family safely returned to their car, the sun began to set, painting the sky with shades of orange and pink. In the grass, the little chick faded among the flowers, a small but mighty hero, reminding us that some heroes don’t wear capes—they have feathers.
