Voxu Actor Guide: Advanced AI Voice Control for Videos

Experimental

What is Voxu Actor?

Voxu Actor is Crreo’s advanced AI voice control feature designed to bring your faceless videos to life. Instead of standard text-to-speech, you can use simple text prompts to change a voice’s emotion, pace, pitch, accent, native language, style (like whispering or singing), and even transform it into special characters (like pirates and aliens) so your audio perfectly matches the mood of your scenes.

Voice Control Examples

With these customization controls, you can:

Control Emotions

Same voice (Piper), different emotional prompts:

Frustration → calm

Instruction: Speak with clear frustration at first, then soften into disappointed calm by the end.

Text: We had one chance to deliver this on time, and we missed it. I know everyone worked hard, but the client is waiting, and trust is harder to rebuild than a schedule.

Joyful team milestone

Instruction: Read in a joyful, proud tone as if celebrating a team milestone together.

Text: Today marks one full year since we launched. We learned fast, improved every month, and built something people genuinely use. This is your win, and you earned it.

Calm reassurance

Instruction: Speak in a calm, reassuring tone that helps the listener feel safe and focused.

Text: Take a slow breath in, hold for a moment, then breathe out. You are not behind. You are in progress, and one clear next step is enough for now.

Manage Pace

Same voice (Tobias), different pacing:

Slow, deliberate (safety)

Instruction: Read very slowly and clearly, with deliberate pauses between key phrases.

Text: Important safety reminder. Verify power is off. Confirm all moving parts are stopped. Put on protective equipment. Then begin the maintenance checklist.

Fast legal disclaimer

Instruction: Read quickly but remain intelligible, like a fast legal disclaimer.

Text: Offer valid while supplies last. Regional restrictions may apply. Subscription renews automatically unless canceled before billing date. Terms and updates are available on our website.

Dynamic pacing

Instruction: Use dynamic pacing: slower on warnings and faster on routine details.

Text: The setup is simple and takes two minutes. Connect the cable, sign in, and pick your profile. But do not share your recovery code. Store it offline in a secure place.

Control Pitch

Same voice (Marlowe), different pitch:

Low, grounded

Instruction: Use a low, grounded pitch with a confident and steady delivery.

Text: This operation is stable. Metrics are within range. We will proceed with the rollout in phases and monitor each checkpoint before moving to the next.

Bright, upbeat

Instruction: Use a brighter, higher pitch with upbeat energy while staying natural.

Text: Welcome back! Great news, your project passed review and is ready to publish. Final checks look clean, and your dashboard is now live.

Question → statement

Instruction: Start in a medium pitch, rise slightly on the question, then drop at the final statement.

Text: Can we reduce delay without lowering quality? Yes. We optimize the queue first, then scale workers where traffic actually grows.

Deep, confidential

Instruction: Read in deep confidential pitch like a spy briefing in a secure room.

Text: Package arrives at zero three hundred. No lights. No radios. You verify identity phrase, then move to extraction route C.

Modify Accent

Same voice (Thea), different accents:

Neutral American

Instruction: Speak in a neutral American accent suitable for a product tutorial.

Text: Open the settings panel, choose your workspace, and enable auto backup. Once enabled, your files are saved every minute without interrupting edits.

East African English

Instruction: Speak with East African English influence, confident and friendly.

Text: Karibu, welcome everyone. We will begin with platform improvements, then demonstrate workflow speedups and collaborative review tools.

Speak Different Languages

Same voice (Victor), different languages:

Bilingual (English + Spanish)

Instruction: Read this naturally as bilingual narration, switching between English and Spanish smoothly.

Text: Hello team, gracias por unirse hoy. We will start with project goals, luego revisamos riesgos, and close with action items for this week.

Full German

Instruction: Read entirely in German with a professional presentation style.

Text: Willkommen zusammen. Heute stellen wir die neue Version der Plattform vor. Bitte teilen Sie uns nach der Demo Ihr Feedback mit.

Full Arabic

Instruction: Read entirely in Arabic with calm and formal delivery.

Text: مرحبا بالجميع. اليوم سنعرض النسخة الجديدة من المنتج. يرجى مشاركة ملاحظاتكم بعد انتهاء العرض.

Multilingual (English + Hindi)

Instruction: Read this naturally as multilingual narration, switching between English and Hindi transliteration smoothly.

Text: Good morning friends, namaste sabko. We begin with milestones, phir hum budget dekhenge, and finally confirm the delivery schedule.

Manage Style: Whisper, Shout, Sing, Recite

Shout (battlefield captain) — Cleo

Instruction: Shout like a battlefield captain giving immediate orders.

Text: Shields up! Hold the left flank! Archers to the ridge now, and do not give them one step forward!

Whisper (covert handoff) — Kai

Instruction: Whisper this like a covert handoff message in a crowded train station.

Text: Do not look at me. Take the black folder from locker seven, leave through the west gate, and burn this note before sunrise.

Sing (folk chorus) — Orion

Instruction: Sing these lines in a simple uplifting melody like a folk chorus.

Text: Morning breaks over quiet fields, old roads glow in golden light, and every voice returns to hope tonight.

Recite (spoken-word poetry) — Wren

Instruction: Recite like spoken-word poetry with dramatic pauses and weight on key images.

Text: I carried thunder in my chest, silence in my pockets, and still found room for one more promise to keep.

Stern military cadence — Elara

Instruction: Perform in stern military cadence with clipped timing.

Text: Unit reports at zero five hundred. Inspection at zero five thirty. Deployment at zero six hundred. No delays, no excuses.

Turn to Special Characters

Futuristic pilot — Orion

Instruction: Perform as a game pilot in a futuristic dropship briefing.

Text: Strap in, squad. We break cloud cover in twelve seconds, touch down hot in sector nine, and exfiltrate before hostile scanners realign.

Pirate captain — Orion

Instruction: Perform this as an old pirate captain giving orders on rough seas.

Text: Crew to stations, reef the sails, and hold the line. Storm clouds are closing fast, and we make harbor before nightfall.

Humanoid robot — Sable

Instruction: Perform as a precise humanoid robot overseeing launch countdown.

Text: T minus thirty seconds. Fuel balance nominal. Guidance lock confirmed. Commence ignition sequence on my mark in three, two, one.

Alien diplomat — Maren

Instruction: Perform as an alien diplomat addressing Earth for first contact.

Text: People of Earth, we arrive without conquest. We bring maps, medicine, and questions older than stars. Let this be the first peaceful exchange.

Medieval herald — Piper

Instruction: Perform as a medieval royal herald making a proclamation in the main square.

Text: Hear ye, hear ye! By order of the crown, the city gates remain open through harvest moon, and all guild levies are suspended for seven days.

Ghost whisper — Cleo

Instruction: Perform as a ghost whisper drifting through an abandoned ballroom.

Text: Hear the violins that no hands can hold. The dance began a century ago, and still the floor remembers every forgotten name.

How to Use Voxu Actor

Ready to direct your own audio? Voxu Actor is available inside both the Video Maker and the Speech Generator for users on Grow and Pro Unlimited plans. For Video Maker:

  2. Step 2: Set your overarching style. After selecting your voice, use the prompt box to give the AI an overall direction for the entire script (e.g., set the baseline emotion, pace, accent, or language).
  3. Step 3: Build your scenes. Lay out your video’s flow—from scripting and character design to a full storyboard generation. Once your storyboard is ready, you can edit your voice audio directly in the timeline alongside all your video assets.
  4. Step 4: Edit and refine for scene-level control. Need a specific sentence whispered, or a sudden change in emotion? In Step 4, you can edit the customization prompt on a specific segment and regenerate the voice to create dynamic, scene-by-scene changes.
